Welcome Message

“Science and Technology for Patients”

Before anything else, as the representative of the Organizing Committee, I am pleased to welcome you, members, to the “17th International Meeting of the Korean Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society” to be held at Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea, from June 10 (Friday) to 11 (Saturday), 2016.

The Korean Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society had the second highest number of members participating and making presentations after the host country of the United States, at the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS) Conference held in Boston, United States, in the fall of 2015. As such, it is clearly playing a pivotal role in the international society. It is, therefore, our hope that this upcoming conference would also receive the same success with your support.

For the International Meeting of the Korean Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society now in its 17th year this year, we have prepared five plenary lectures to be held with five invitees from the United States, United Kingdom, Taiwan, and Korea, under the slogan of “Science and Technology for Patients.” In addition, we are planning 12 symposium sessions to be held under various themes, such as 3-D printing engineering technology, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and nanotechnology, which have been popular issues recently. At the same time, we are preparing to hold six general oral presentations and poster session with general speakers, which we hope you will find interesting.

It is our hope that experts in the fields of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine would actively participate and debate at the forthcoming conference, as well as build close cooperative relations. Aside from this, it is our hope that the international meeting would promote understanding and exchanges between student members, who are newly starting their research in this field, and expert members so that the students would calling water for the future development of Korea’s tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

We ask for your high interest and active participation in the conference and wish you great academic development and success.

Thank you.
